AiAsia Labs ("we", "us", "our") operates CareerGoat at careergoat.aiasialabs.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our platform.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and authentication method (Google or email/password).

CV data: When you upload your CV for analysis, we process it to extract your skills, target role, years of experience, and education. We do not permanently store your full CV text. Only the extracted metadata (score, skills, role) is saved.

Usage data: We track which features you use and how many AI tokens are consumed, to manage your plan limits and improve the service.

Payment information: For bKash payments, we store your transaction reference and a security code. For card payments via Lemon Squeezy, we do not store card details — these are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy.

Recruiter pool data (opt-in only): If you choose to be visible to recruiters (Pro and Premium plans), we store your name, CV score, skills, target role, location (city only), availability, and LinkedIn URL. This is entirely voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve our AI career tools
To manage your account, plan, and usage limits
To process payments and send payment confirmations
To send you transactional emails (e.g. email verification, bKash security codes)
To show your profile to recruiters if you have opted in
To detect student status and apply applicable discounts
To monitor platform performance and prevent abuse

3. What We Do NOT Do

We do not sell your personal data to any third party
We do not store full CV text permanently
We do not share your data with advertisers
We do not use your data to train external AI models
We do not show your profile to recruiters without your explicit opt-in

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Cloudflare's D1 database infrastructure, which is globally distributed and encrypted at rest. We use Firebase Authentication for secure login. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your personal data is removed within 30 days.

5. Cookies

We use minimal cookies strictly necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Withdraw consent for recruiter visibility at any time
Export your saved jobs and CV score history

7. Children's Privacy

CareerGoat is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of CareerGoat after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
